The profound power of sound

Sound has the power to affect us in profound ways, both physically and mentally. From the lullaby that soothes a baby to the upbeat tunes that motivate us to exercise, sound has been used for millennia as a tool for healing and wellness. In recent years, sound therapy, also known as sound healing or vibrational therapy, has emerged as a powerful tool, using sound waves to promote healing and relaxation, mental health, and well-being.

Singing bowls, tuning forks, gongs, and other instruments, as well as guided meditations, or sound therapy recordings or apps at home may already be part of your mental health toolkit, so well done, you are at the start of the revolution, but there is so much more!

How does sound therapy work and benefit mental health?

Sound therapy works by using sound waves to stimulate the brain and nervous system. When we listen to certain sounds, our brain waves change, which can have a calming effect on the mind and body. In addition, sound therapy can help to release tension and promote relaxation, which can be particularly beneficial for people who suffer from anxiety or other mental health conditions.

Benefits of sound therapy for mental health include:

Reducing anxiety: By promoting a sense of calm and relaxation.

Improving sleep: By relaxing the mind and body and reducing feelings of stress.

Enhancing mindfulness: By promoting a greater awareness of the present moment and reducing feelings of distraction.

Boosting mood: By releasing tension and promoting feelings of well-being.

Reducing symptoms of depression: By helping to reduce symptoms and improve overall mood.

There is sound therapy and then there is Optimal Sound Therapy

If you are a fan of listening your way to better mental health, feel like you need some more support but don’t fancy probing questions, or endless therapy sessions then Optimal Sound Therapy with personalised Sound Files, could be absolutely right for you.

It is a nurturing, reassuring experience that respects your emotional comfort zone. Just speak for 5-minutes about anything, and our innovative software measures and connects voice vibrations and brain waves to underlying emotions.

This fascinatingly perceptive technology allows you to access your inner world and explore your emotional make-up accurately, and to then transform anxiety easily, deal with triggers, and achieve clarity, harmony, and ultimately emotional balance.

Your own bespoke Sound Files

Your Sound Therapy Technician will create personalised Sound Files, accessed via an app. Just pop on your headphones and listen daily for self-resolution.

If you can gift yourself a minimum of 15-minutes morning and night, then this empowering treatment will restore neural pathways, and gift you emotional wellbeing.

The recommended minimum is 3x 15 minutes per day, the absolute minimum is 2 x 15 minutes per day. Ideally whilst resting. If not, then you can listen whilst performing non stressful activities i.e. sitting at your computer or doing other light work.

It is recommended to update Sound Files about every 6-8 weeks as you become more balanced. This is your choice.

How Optimal Health Can Help

We recommend starting with an Optimal Sound Therapy Assessment.

We are one of very few UK Clinics to offer Optimal Sound Therapy which is easy to access online or in-clinic. Swiftly reach harmony and emotional balance, through listening daily to bespoke Sound Files, accessed via a web page.
